The Class

The class is suitable for beginners & those who have exercised before.

You can attend with your baby from 6 weeks following a normal delivery & 8-10 weeks after a caesarean. (Ideally after your GP check-up).

The class will start with low impact aerobics, progressing in intensity throughout the 6 week course. Conditioning exercises will concentrate on strengthening the abdominals, lower back & pelvic muscles, progressing each week. The class finishes with stretch & relaxation.

At the end of the session, there will be the opportunity for tea and biscuits. To meet other mums and informally chat about relevant issues relating to bringing up baby, and adapting to motherhood.

The class is held at Ecclesall Parish Church Hall Ringinglow Road Mondays 12.00 – 1.30, please attend the first class 10 minutes early to register and arrive promptly to subsequent classes.

The New fun fitness Hour is 1pm-2pm Main Hall

Try to feed your baby well before you come to class, as they are more likely to be settled and content - happily asleep or happy to watch! I do have baby mats, a ring and a travel cot for you to use, but you may wish to bring your own blanket.

Chairs are provided if baby does require feeding during the class.  There is plenty of room for car seats and prams where baby can sit and watch the class.

Wear comfortable clothes, a good supportive bra and trainers. Bring a sweatshirt to put on during the conditioning exercises and something to drink throughout the class. Mats and cushions are provided, however you may want to bring a blanket for your baby during the floor work so they can join you.

Welcome
